At the 2015 European Championships in Aachen, he won the team gold medal with the Dutch squad and placed 5th individually. He carries top performance blood: his sire, Mr. Blue, was internationally successful at 1.60 m and is also the sire of Plot Blue. Zirocco Blue’s dam competed internationally up to 1.50 m.
