Carrera Semilly
Selle Francaismare | chestnutborn 2012 | height 170 cm v. Diamant de Semilly x Dollar du Murier in foal to Untouchable
Carrera comes from a highly successful breeding family and carries the performance genes of three international Grand Prix winners at 5 level*.
After producing two foals, she entered the sport herself, winning titles including the Junior State Championship. Thanks to her unwavering attitude, willingness to always give her all, and remarkable scope, she was the perfect horse for Katharina to introduce to higher-level competition, providing security and confidence in the upper classes. Given her pedigree and mindset, we decided to return her to breeding in perfect health, hoping for many more successful offspring.
Her dam, JAFFNA DE SEMILLY, with an ISO score of 165 – THE BEST (French performance index in show jumping) – is among the top mares in France.
Carrera is an exceptional mare, not only in sport but also in breeding. Her first offspring, RIGHT NOW SEMILLY, was the best four-year-old in France in 2009, later a seven-year-old Grand Prix winner in Germany from 2014, competing internationally up to 1.60 m level with Michael Whitaker (GBR) and Jonathan Chabrol (FRA) at CSI 5* events.
Her full brothers include:
- VIBRATO SEMILLY – licensed, 5- and 6-year-old French championship finalist, 7-year-old Grand Prix winner at the Normandy Horse Show
- AIRWAY SEMILLY – competing at CSI 145
The dam of Jaffna produced five licensed stallions, including the popular stallion ANDIAMO SEMILLY, French champion at ages 4, 5, and 6, and since 2019 highly successful internationally with Penelope Leprevost at CSIO 5* events (e.g., Aachen), competing up to 1.60 m level.
In addition to the five licensed stallions, she produced two more CSI 5 mares*:
- JAFFNA DE SEMILLY – CSI 5*
- HUSSAH TM – CSI 5*, competing internationally up to 1.60 m
In total, six horses from this dam line are international S-level competitors, three of them competing at CSI 5*.
