Our sweet Fortuna comes from a line that is exceptional both genetically and in character, combining valuable breeding traits over several generations.
Her sire, Lonestar Magic Presto, was imported directly from the USA. Presto impressed as a particularly harmonious, correctly built, and typy miniature donkey. Sadly, we lost him to a tragic accident during his first breeding season. All the more grateful are we that Presto left us two outstanding mares, Fortuna and Prestina, both of which are part of our breeding program.
Her dam, Florida, combines the special color genetics and the exceptionally friendly, balanced character of her mother with the impressive movement of her sire. Florida is a daughter of the extremely chic and expressive, England-born licensed stallion Lazy Jack Cool Ebony, admired for correctness, presence, and outstanding type – truly a stallion as described in the books.
This line clearly shows how important and heritable the dam lines are in breeding.
Fortuna consistently carries these qualities forward. She has inherited her mother’s color and character and is a charming, very people-oriented young mare.
