Sire:
The highly distinguished Mylord Carthago represents an exceptionally successful combination of the finest Holsteiner and French bloodlines. Under Penelope Leprevost (FRA), he was a consistent presence in international show jumping in recent years and, among other achievements, became Vice World Champion and Vice European Champion with the French team in Lexington (USA) 2010 and Madrid (ESP) 2011. In addition, he was consistently successful in Nations Cups, World Cup competitions, and international Grand Prix events. The dam line is of Arabian origin and is considered one of the strongest performance families in Belgian and French show-jumping breeding.
Dam:
Carrera comes from a highly successful breeding family and carries the performance genes of three international show-jumping winners at 5* level.
Her dam, JAFFNA DE SEMILLY, with an ISO 165 = THE BEST (French performance index for show jumping), is among the top mares in France.
Not only is she exceptional in sport, but she is also outstanding from a breeding perspective. Her first offspring,
- RIGHT NOW SEMILLY, was the best 4-year-old horse in France in 2009, won Grand Prix in Germany at 7 years old, and competed internationally at 1.60 m level with Michael Whitaker (GBR) and Jonathan Chabrol (FRA) at CSI 5* events.
- VIBRATO SEMILLY, licensed, finalist at the French Championships at 5 and 6 years old, Grand Prix winner at the Normandy Horse Show at 7 years old.
- AIRWAY SEMILLY, competing at CSI 145 level.
All three are full siblings to our Carrera Semilly.
The dam of Jaffna produced no fewer than five licensed stallions, including the renowned ANDIAMO SEMILLY, Champion in France at 4, 5, and 6 years old, and highly successful internationally at 1.60 m level with Penelope Leprevost (CSIO 5*, placed in Aachen, etc.) since 2019.
In addition to the five licensed stallions, the mare also produced two CSI 5* mares:
- JAFFNA DE SEMILLY, CSI 5*
- HUSSAH TM, CSI 5*, competing internationally at 1.60 m
In total, six horses from this dam line are international S-level competitors, three of them up to CSI 5*.
